Craigshill High
School was built at a cost of £1 million. The
School opened its doors in 1969 with 120 pupil’s headmaster "James
Pirie" and seven teachers. By 1970 when Inveralmond Community
High School opened the school had 1,500 pupils and 100 teachers.
Located in the heart of Craigshill
a short walk from The mall
the school hosted many facilities such as a swimming pool, games halls
etc.
Sadly the school closed its doors in June 1992, and most of the building was
demolished a few years later. The only part to have survived was the sports wing of
the school which is now owned by Scottish Gymnastics.
