Berits & Brown, the high quality Scottish food, drink and dining company, is delighted to announce that their next opening is to be in West Lothian.
Founded in early 2004, by friends Sue Berits and Peter Brown in the Stirlingshire village of Kippen, their delis are renowned for fabulous coffee and delicious food and offer a relaxing and informal atmosphere where you can come and chill for a while.
The concept has inspired deli enthusiasts to take on the idea and open their own Berits & Brown franchises in other areas, like Edinburgh and Glasgow’s Merchant City.
Ken Rowand is the latest recruit and decided he wanted to bring the Berits & Brown experience to Livingston, where he’s just signed a lease for a new 1,800sq foot facility in Almondvale Centre.
Ken said: “We aim to revolutionise the way food is served within a shopping centre in terms of quality and service. Our emphasis is not just fabulous food and drink but also on amazing customer service. We want to provide an unforgettable experience that will make you want to return again and again.”
He continued, “Work on the new premises is already progressing well, with a Building Warrant and Premises Licence now issued by West Lothian Council, which has been an excellent council to work with, providing good guidance on what we need to do to comply with legislation.” Ken added, “We’ve already received some very heartening comments from West Lothian folk keen to know when we’re opening and giving us feedback on proposed menus. If anybody would like to do the same, please go to our Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/beritslivingston ). We’re planning to open in late June with the creation of seven new jobs to start with. So if anyone is interested in joining as a Chef, kitchen or waiting staff, we’d be happy to hear from them, just email a CV to firstname.lastname@example.org”
