Dechmont LawPark lying to the north of Livingston
is one of 3 areas designated countryside within the town. The park is
approximately 200 hectares in size and comprises dechmont law
itself. Large areas of grassland and forestry both deciduous and coniferous.
Originally a volcanic plug dechmont law is the highest point in Livingston 217
m from the top there are superb views of the Pentlands, Bathgate hills the
Lomond hills in fife, Arthur’s seat and the forth bridges.
